European space experts expect closer cooperation with China

The Chang’e-3’s soft landing was achieved with support from a network of tracking and transmission stations around the world, operated by the European Space Agency. An expert at the agency praised China’s space progam and hoped for more collaboration.
“China has made huge progress in space exploration technology over the past years, especially in manned space flights. We hope China will carry out closer cooperation with the international community in human space flight. Here in the Human Spaceflight and Operations Center, we have already established a collaboration mechanism with our Chinese counterparts,” said Thomas Reiter, director of European Space Operations Center.
